Former West Ham starlet says Allardyce ruled by fear
WARNING - POSTERS THAT MOAN EVERY TIME SAM ALLARDYCE IS MENTIONED NEED NOT READ ON

A former West Ham Academy prospect says Sam Allardyce “neglected” the youngsters at the club and ruled by fear at Upton Park.

Seb Lletget, 23, who is currently playing for LA Galaxy, has revealed how he and his fellow youth team players were used as pawns in the infamous 5-0 defeat to Championship side Nottingham Forest in January 2014.

Lletget was one of six debutants in the FA Cup game at the City Ground on that fateful day and the San Francisco-born midfielder believes the “uninspiring” Allardyce, who had a four-year spell in east London, used the game to make a point about his lack of first-team options.

“I look back at that now and it’s just like ‘oh!'” Lletget told KUMB.com.

“I enjoyed it because it was our only opportunity. But we played a formation that we’ve never played in our life and we didn’t have too much experience on the field – which I realise is important now having played with Stevie [Gerrard] and Keano.

“It’s important having those senior guys around to control things, the kind of things the fans don’t see. We had none of that. We were just improvising really and I’ve never been in that position before. I couldn’t even tell you what he said to us out there because it wasn’t inspiring.”

Lletget, who left to join LA Galaxy in May 2015, also slammed Allardyce’s perceived lack of interest in the Academy players .

“I can say this now as it’s been a long while and a lot has happened,” he added. “But I believe there was a lot of neglect,” added Lletget.

“It’s not that he didn’t care, but it’s like he had better things on his mind. He didn’t have time for us and I couldn’t understand that.

“Being a Premier League manager is tough, it’s not easy. But I feel like even if it’s tough, you can still care and show that. With us, all we wanted was a handshake in the morning, for him to know our names – but he had none of that.

“People respected him because they were scared of him, but they all wanted to do well and make it because they didn’t want to get exiled. And a lot of players did, immediately, without a second thought.

“It was a real shame because we had a really good group of lads and a lot of talent, but it never got to shine.”

What? You mean our 'pwoper' ex manager wasn't bothered with a football fundamental like the club infrastructure and in particular the youth development setup? Can't wait for someone like Son of Allardyce to come on here and see their comments:

"Can't see anything wrong with that?"
"That player was shit anyway"
"He did what he was paid to do"
"This time last year ...." oops

Good lad Seb, only saying what a lot of the other boys and Youth team coaches actually thought and were unable to say.

A lot of very good young players careers halted in the tracks by Allardyce because he couldn't have given a shit.

As you say will probably be written off as rubbish or sour grapes but its a fact.

Trouble is there are too many people out there who have no clue what Allardyce and managers like him are really like day to day and purely comment when asked or venture an opinion that is based on perception rather than hard solid facts.

FACT is Allardyce was a work shy, money grabbing bully boy who only had Sam Allardyes interests at heart.

Some of us pointed out at the time that Sam threw the youngsters to the wolves and didn't give a damn about them.

As a Sam tolerator and a "Let's be careful what we wish for" advocate until the last 6 months of his tenure.

This is a hard read. Just goes to show that the Premier league table and this weeks results aren't the only thing you should consider when you ask yourself is he a good manager.

I'll know better next time.

We all knew then and we know to this day EXACTLY what he did. At the time we all said there was no need to play such an inexperienced side as he still had other senior players to pick from.

But, he sacrificed the youngsters to make a point which had one main objective. Self preservation.

Typical Allardyce. Looking after himself.

Re: Former West Ham starlet says Allardyce ruled by fear
At the time, i had to sympathize with fatty a bit, we did have a few injuries (no, really we did) we even had Rodger Johnson playing a few days later in a SEMI FINAL, and a massive league game away against also relegation fighters, Cardiff, forget the city mauling, if he'd and done a Bilic, whose very "political correct" bigging up the F A cup.... (To which there is a tint of good PR west ham fans will like me..west ham way in that sentiment than we would rather not know how much)

He could have risked a few more 1st teamers, but we tent to forget beating Cardiff away was really the catalyst result, on the road that kept us up..and probably sent them down.

There are a few more scenarios really, he could have played the 1st team in all 3 tough away games, lost all 3, picking up more major injuries and we'd might have gone down? If he'd have done that, he would have got a coating all round..

He could have played the first team, lost at Forest beat city, won the dodgy 3 handled, lost at Cardiff, went down doing what Birmingham did, (the year we went down losing in the semifinals 3-1 up, Roger Johnson and Lee Bowyer scored)

He was on a hiding to nothing really, and i bet if you could have asked him, if he could win one of the 3, He'd have said Cardiff, after all, his job was on the line if we went down, he's not West Ham like Greenwood, Lyall, Bonds who also managed us in cup games, as Bilic and Dicksie are now.

Anyway, be honest, that cull of players weren't that good? And he knew that, it would have been different with a few of them, but he
Knew he was sending out Sebastian Lletget, Callum Driver Danny Whitbred and George Moncur, not Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard and Joe Cole, and Michael Carrick, who everyone at the club knew would make it.

Lets not forget he started Matt Jarvis, Ravel Morrison, Modigbo Miaga and Stewert Downing, 2 of them England internationals.and cost more than £20m together, the Forest team wasn't worth £10m more than those 4 players together.

Sour grapes from Lletget, whose plying his trade with 2 OAP's in a shit league..

The club don't do that to prodigies or players there 99% sure will/can take the step up, Reece Oxfords signing was not only signed on the pitch before a game, it was significant enough to get a read about in the home program how lucky we are to have him as Man Utd Arsenal, blah blank sniffing, and then in 3 lines at the bottom of the sat write up"we also bought a 17 year graduate from hillingdon for £70, if he's any good in 5 years we'll have in out here signing a massive new deal as Real and Barca want him, then we'll chauffeur him to our Mega OS store, were he'll sign any 1 thing..purchased on the day if 12 of your family or friends are STH.. If he's shit we'll out to Barnet on a free, and tell you about it obscurely 4 days after at the bottom of another report "

Fatty ain't Lletget's gripe, he was let down on the day by big wank international players who didn't want play with the sod in the wee tiny fa cup, and those same players let us and fatty down as well, Downing laughed once when Morrison didn't track back? Laughed he was 30 odd England international player, he should have boloxed him and grabbed him by the scruff of the neck.

Away ar Arsenal, how many of you lot saw the starting line up and thought " Reece Oxford up against x Real Madrid player and World Cup winner Mezit Özil and Ramsey" pure master stroke Slav??? He'll just stick them 2 cunts in his sky rocket for 90 minutes and dazzle on his 17 years old debut That call could have gone major tits up....

And Slavs new found preaching devine love for respect for the oldest football tournament The FA Cup, is easy to big up and take easily sitting in 5th spot in the prem, were you balancing started Carroll, Antonio, Mosses, Lanzini, Sahko with Payet behind who he picks...Or Maiga.. If we'd have sat in Villa's Norwich or Sunderlands place back in January, with the injuries we had then, we'd have heard another speach and team outed by Bilic..

And you deluded if you think not, was my call at the time, time proved me correct.

That Nottingham Forest debacle was one of the worst things he did.

"Proving" that not bringing youngsters into the team was the correct policy, by bringing youngsters into it in the most stupid way possible.

Re: Former West Ham starlet says Allardyce ruled by fear
Pure bollocks, his job is to win games, bleeding good enough players, good enough to make the step up, he knew they weren't, know one at any club gives a flying cunt about players not ready or good enough to make the step up, no 1st team manager or owner at least, there own u17 manager might care a bit,

The managers job is to win, then bollock the other trainers and lower team managers to out the dross, find better, or I'll find a better you..

Fucking hell, what some on here believe
